Channa gravy
Today we are going to see how to make channa gravy at home. Let me share you our recipe.
Step 1 Channa
Soak the channa in water before eight hours, we would like to have it as dinner . So, we would like to soak it in the morning. After 8 hours cook it in a cooker for 5-6 whistles with salt added with water. Take about 8 - 10 channas and keep it separately.
Step 2 Base
Add oil and two chopped onions to a frying pan. Don't chop the onions finely as we are going to grind it. Keep this in the mind for other ingredients also. Saute it for two mins and add 3 cloves of garlic and a small piece of ginger. Saute it for a minute or two. then add salt , tumeric power , chilli powder and garam masala . I would personally like to add kari masala powder. Add a little bit of water so that the masala won't burn. Add two tomatoes and cook it. Turn off the stove and grind it. Make sure the mixture is cooled when you grind it.
step 3 curry
Add oil to a frying pan . When it heats up add a cinnamon stick , a bay leaf and a couple of cloves and cardamom. Saute it and add the base and the channa . Now grind the 8 - 10 pieces of channa and add it to the curry. Don't forget to add the drained water which is very nutritious, close it and cook it until the water reduces. Grind some grated coconut with water and add it to the paste.
your delicious channa gravy is ready , you can enjoy this with chapathi , naan or roti.
